Our Story
In 2018, Pierre Brossollet created Arverne Group with the ambition of highlighting the potential of renewable underground resources, in the service of the energy transition.
He knows all about the riches underground. 20 years in the oil industry have given him a precise picture. It’s a simple fact: the subsoil abounds in sustainable alternative resources, under-exploited and in almost infinite quantities.
Making the earth a major contributor to the new need for virtuous energies is Arverne’s objective, and he is rapidly making it his raison d’être as a company with a mission.
To ensure that geothermal energy, in all its forms, becomes one of the strong pillars of an efficient and sovereign energy mix, Arverne has chosen an appropriate organization:
- The creation of Lithium de France in Alsace, in 2020, to decarbonize many heating networks using geothermal energy, alongside an innovative concept for extracting brines rich in lithium, a coveted metal for the battery industry.
- In addition, the creation of 2gré, in 2023, to accelerate the supply of geothermal heat throughout France, for the benefit of both public and private networks, through all forms of geothermal energy.
- Lastly, since drilling is the keystone of any underground activity, Arverne has undertaken to acquire France’s oldest drilling company in 2019, making it a key differentiating factor in its development and agility.
September 2023 marksArverne Group’s IPO on Euronext Paris, to give it the means for large-scale deployment. Arverne Group is listed on the Tech Leaders segment.

Our Ambition
Arverne Group is developing geothermal energy throughout France, offering sustainable, local energy solutions.
As an integrated industrial player, from exploration to energy production and sales, including drilling, Arverne Group is positioned across the entire value chain, with the aim of becoming the French leader in all forms of geothermal energy.
The Group is made up of several subsidiaries, each with a strong local presence and complementary expertise, putting the subsoil at the service of the energy transition. Together, the Arverne Group forms a coherent and unique eco-system that meets the challenges of decarbonization and energy sovereignty.
Its subsidiaries are 2gré (sale of geothermal heat), Lithium de France (extraction and sale of geothermal lithium), and Arverne Drilling Services, DrillDeep and DrillHeat, which operate drilling operations at all depths.
